At Little Village Sleep, I truly love helping families in Edmonton and surrounding areas achieve restful nights for both parents and children.
Driven by my own journey as a mom with postpartum anxiety and a sleepless baby with reflux and colic, I founded Little Village Sleep. My mission is to provide compassionate and evidence-based support to families facing similar challenges.
As your Edmonton-based Baby Sleep Consultant, I am Certified through Isla Grace which is the ONLY baby sleep education program that does not promote or suggest the use of any form of sleep training method as a way to improve sleep in babies or children. In this comprehensive certification and exam I became immersed in many attributes that are part of mom and baby's unique story - presented by active top experts in their field and with research data to back it up - including attachment-based counselors and educators with decades in their field, sleep anthropologists, sleep scientists, occupational therapists, airway health specialists, reflux and colic experts, birth trauma therapists, maternal and matrescent health counselors, and more.
That being said - I'm committed to offering you and your child gentle, attachment-based, baby-led, and parent-led approaches that prioritize the well-being of both parent and child. My training focuses on first understanding the underlying causes of sleep disturbances, empowering parents with knowledge, and creating personalized solutions tailored to your family's unique needs.
My Approach
I believe in empowering parents to become their child's sleep experts. By focusing on the "why" behind sleep issues, I help you understand the root causes and develop strategies that promote healthy sleep habits.

Frequently Asked Questions About The Baby-Led Sleep Approach
A: The baby-led sleep approach focuses on your child's unique sleep patterns, sleep needs, temperament and behaviour to develop a sleep strategy that is specific to your child without having to use a set method or generic sleep schedule.
A: Since the baby-led approach focuses on the child as an individual and encourages parents to follow their instincts when responding to their child, there is no set plan or method until we understand what your child needs to get better sleep. Although "gentle" sleep trainers don't encourage leaving a baby to cry, they still coach parents using generic schedules and methods that focus on a set number of times a baby can be picked up, spoken too, responded too...
A: Since sleep training isn't necessary and doesn't work for some babies/children's personalities. Our focus is helping you get to know what works and what doesn't work for your individual child so you can fully understand what your child needs to get the best sleep possible. My goal is to educate you on the science behind normal infant/child sleep and to help you catch any red flags if your infant/child's sleep isn't in the realm of normal. I also focus on you as a parent to help you deal with the hard stuff, it takes a Village to Raise a Child.
